What Is An Ozone Therapy?

Using medical-grade oxygen combined with an ozone generator to make O2/O3, we will fill a syringe and inject it into a selected area to begin healing the painful, injured, or damaged tissues.

Cortisone Shots vs Ozone Therapy

Cortisone shots are very popular. They do a great job of masking pain and decreasing inflammation. Unfortunately, they cause tissue breakdown and are setting you up for surgery.

Ozone therapy don't mask the pain. Instead, they give the body the oxygen needed to heal the affected area. While they lack the instant gratification of a drug, they can help you heal and prevent surgery.

How Long Does It Last? How Many Do I Need?

Ozone begins attacking inflammatory cells as soon as 1-10 seconds after entering the damaged tissue and can stay active in the body for 3-7 days.

Truthfully, ozone can turn things around and create a permanent solution, but it takes some repetition. Occasionally we do see resolution of symptoms in one treatment, but a good rule of thumb is to expect 2-5 treatments at a minimum.

Why Ozone Works

Ozone, when injected into a diseased or injured tissue, boosts blood supply and the flow of healing nutrients into the area. Ozone also promotes the growth and activity of fibroblasts (cells that play a role in wound healing) and chondroblasts (cells that play a role in cartilage formation). Fibroblasts and chondroblasts synthesize collagen and cartilage (respectively), which the body can use to repair and regenerate injured joints and ligaments. The increased cellular repair activity also strengthens the injured tissues and consequently provides stability to the affected area.

Ozone's regenerative capability and anti-inflammatory properties can reduce and even eliminate the need for pharmacological and surgical interventions.
